Do you have a footstool?

I'm waiting for my new sofas to arrive and think I need one.
DH says it would get in the way of lighting the fire & since we lounge on sofas it's a waste of time.
I may have spent too long on Pinterest as I also think we need a rug and adorable side tables with tasteful lamps Grin

a footstooL, is a comfort item and it is good for the legs to be elevated. So maybe to help out your oh you can ge one with wheels ! then he can just give it a shove out of his way. want to bet he starts to use it? Get 2!

My feet are on my footstool at this very moment. It is also a handy dandy storage space :)

My footstool is a side table which I have up cycled to match our curtains. I put a cushion on top to make it comfy

So it's a health tool, storage space , a decorative item and presumably a useful cat bed, how did we ever manage before?
Now I need to convince him that I need one in tartan to tone with the sofa.

I have a huge square one (1metre X 1metre). Love it.

putcustardonit · 21/10/2015 15:35

This is the one I fancy but with my own yet to be selected fabric

I have a, ahem, storage ottoman upholstered box
Bought off ebay and one of the best things ever, tbh Grin

I like it. We have this one. I know brown leather isn't universally loved on MN but I love it. As well as being a footstool and storage, it makes a comfortable spare stool.

I have this one, with a big lacquered tray on top, and I luffs it
Sofa.com have a massive selection of fabrics as well...

Mine is similar to yours, putcustard, just with twiddlier legs and buttoning. It's the Valentin large square from sofa.com in a greyish wool tweed.

Ours is a square kind of pouffe thing, £20 in matalan. It is our most used item of furniture. An extra seat when we have visitors or for kids to sit at the coffee table with for tv suppers, or even a little table for them when the coffee table is covered in a game of Monopoly. You definitely need one.

Ours is small and v light, as you'd expect for £20, so it's easy to move around or shove into a random corner.

I love my footstool as I am very short and when I sit on my sofa, my feet don´t touch the floor. Then I get backache and my laptop slides of my lap and I am generally uncomfortable so mine is definitely a health benefit Grin

Mine is just the footstool that goes with the IKEA Poang chairs, so no fancy storage or anything - it is, however, angled so it is extremely comfortable.
