Ideas for hallway/stairs carpet

Please help me with ideas for hallway/stairs carpet. Flooring on the bottom landing is Oak and the walls will be F&B Yellow Ground. here

DH wants boring stylish grey. I want warm and funky (stripes, more grey than beige, maybe flecks of duck egg). We both want something hard wearing and easy to clean.

I'm lurking with intent as I have the same dilemma. Also have oak flooring in the hall and pale yellow walls! I quite fancy a stripey stair carpet but can't find one I like. Also I have no idea what to do with the landing.

I'd quite like modern, wide stripes but can only find narrow stripes.

Saying that I quite like this photo but have no idea what shop/supplier it is.

I like those stripes Simon. I've ordered an assortment of grey, stripy & beige samples from John Lewis & Carpet Right. Fingers crossed we agree on one of them, though I'm having second thoughts about the yellow now it's up
