Day before moving freak out

Please tell me it's normal to have a minor freak out the day before moving house? I've suddenly become emotionally attached to the one we've sold. It was me who wanted to move!!!!

Change is always difficult. It's totally normal to feel this way.

Make sure you don't lose the kettle in the move. The new place will feel like home quicker than you expect.

Yeah, we've got a lot of redecorating to do while I think will make it feel homely.

It's just the one we've sold is the one I owned on my own. My first owned home. It was me who pushed the moving topic so I feel like I can't say anything

There will have been reasons why you wanted to move so just focus on those and don't look back. Those reasons would have kept coming back to bug you if you hadn't done something about them. It's only natural to feel a bit odd about moving to what is essentially still someone else's house in terms of decor, memories etc

The day we moved out from one house, the new owners turned up far too early (they'd sold their house months before) and Mrs ended up comforting me as i sobbed in my yellow spare room "This was meant to be the nurser-er-er-y!!!"

I'm so embarrassed for me now!

Alison that's so lovely though, showed them you cared about it

We're buying somewhere the previous owners have been 40 years, current home was a new build so felt like mine immediately. We're cracking on though and starting the loft extension 2 days after we move in, before we start the unpacking. Hopefully as it takes the shape we want it to be it will feel more homely.

It had a lovely homely feel about it, its just change IS scary and its always better the devil you know.
