West London

Hi all

I'm really confused about which areas to look at within West London that are good for bringing up young kids (good primary schools) and an easy commute into the city. I also need to be within half an hours drive of hounslow where my parents live. I looked at

  1. Twickenham (far too expensive and don't seem to be many 3 beds)
  2. Hampton (trains are too infrequent)
  3. Walton on Thames and Eastcote/Ruislip are also possibilities but again seems to be a shortage of property on the market and prices are still pretty high.
I was initially looking at buying in Sutton where there are decent schools and it's not a bad area- you can get a 3 bed for up to 450. Is there any equivalent area in the west? Where there are actually 3 bed maisonettes or houses available that aren't over half a million? Thanks

Hi

Have you looked around Whitton? Im not sure if 3 beds are in your price range in Whitton, but it is cheaper than Twickenham.

3 bed houses under half a million in west London = rare

I think that 3 beds in Whitton are over £500K now - asking around £535 from what my friend who is house hunting says.
