London Estate Agents - selling

Does anybody have recommendations for estate agents to look at selling with or ones to avoid? House in Hampstead Garden Suburb, London, we are helping an elderly relative and don't want to make it any more difficult than it needs to be. Thanks

I'm just getting near the end of a sale with Kinleigh Folkard and found them excellent. Very professional and efficient.

I think Goldschmidt sells many houses in the area, but they are not on rightmove. I know somebody who is looking to buy in the area and they said G-H are good. Where is the house (approximately) and what price range? As I said, my friend has been looking for a while for a project to do up for her family, she might be interested.

Thanks for the suggestions I will look at them. It's a large but not huge house (5/6 beds) on one of the nicer main roads (not a rat run) through HGS hard to tell value as not many like it have been on the market and this one hasn't been on the market pretty much since it was built. After a bit of research I suspect it would be around £2m, it's a little dated in the bathrooms but otherwise in very good condition with a garage and off street parking. It's a beautiful house and garden and it's heartbreaking to all of the family to put it on the market but it's come to the end of a very good run for its owner and it's now time for a change.

The only estate agents who have ever lied to me, expressly and unmistakably, were KFH, & it cost us several thousands. I would almost give my house away rather than sell with them. Obviously it was the individual agent not the firm, but you can tell I'm still bitter Grin

Unfortunately too expensive for my friend. I must say that my friend (whom I am helping with the search) has seen quite a few reduced prices. Have a look at one in Southway, reduced from 2m to 1.6. But if the price is right, it should sell no problem. Good luck! And if you want any advice, I literally know the history of every property sold in the area in the past couple of years between 900k and 2m. Just pm me and I will tell you all I know :-)

We didn't buy through them in the end but Prickett and Ellis always struck me as very well organised and professional. They have a branch in East Finchley which I think covers HGS.
