I have tried to understand my all singing/ dancing digital one but can't grasp it. I have heating coming on at all sorts of hours and end up just manually over riding the settings. does anyone know if you can simple non digital ones, or failing that, can anyone recommend something that may suit?

I am getting a wifi enabled one next week. I am beside myself with excitement. Currently the control lurks in a dark cupboard and it is a total faff to set it.

If you can't understand a programmable thermostat, then yes, you can buy a simple dial thermostat and a simple dial timer, and have them connected by wires (not wireless). They are quite popular with older people, and I fitted this for my old mum and her carers to use, intuitively.

Have you got a hot water cylinder or a combi?

For a combi, the Drayton SM1 timer.
For CH and HW cylinder, the SM2 programmer.

For room stat, the RTS2

Have a look on the www.draytoncontrols.co.uk website and search those product codes.
