Another question about window poles

Hi, I have a large french window but need to have the curtains drawn to one side only as there is no wall space on the other side.

The width of the window is 212cm, so I was planning on a 240cm pole (approx) with about 30cm on one side so the curtains could be drawn totally off the window. I've managed to find a single panel curtain, but every pole that I look at over 200cm has a middle join, which I'm assuming I won't be able to get the curtain over. Or are there pole rings which can go over a middle join?

Anyone? I think, after a ridiculous amount of time looking at curtain poles, that I want a pole with a passing bracket in the middle. However, I can't work out if I can just buy C rings to go over the passing bracket, or a specialised pole.

No idea sorry. Can the people in the curtain shop offer you any advice on that?

For the poles I bought from John Lewis, you need both a passing bracket and passing rings - I don't think either would work on their own:

Bracket

Rings
