I think the seals are gone on the double glazing in my bedroom. There is misting in between the panes and I'm sure there are gaps as I can hear the outside noise much more than when I moved in. It's a housing association property so have made an appointment for someone to come round next week to replace whatever needs to be replaced.
I'm wondering if this issue with the double glazing (it's been like that for quite some time - yes, I should have addressed it sooner) could have contributed to a mould problem in the room?
There appears to be a mould issue going on though there are no obvious patches anywhere on the walls. The mould seems to bloom on certain items around the room, it's appeared in a jewellry box near the window, plus some clothes that are in chest of drawers by the window, and on my bed frame. Also on an item at the opposite end of the room. When I first moved in I never had an issue with mould, so I'm connecting the two and hoping someone can maybe give me any insight?
I do ventilate the room every day for several hours. I open all the windows in my flat when I go out, including in the winter!
Thanks in advance
