hi

just wondering what is the typical cost of kitchen installation (in london)

We have a U shape small kitchen (2.6mx2.2m), the local builder how has account with howden's quote us £4200 for kitchen installation + flooring and tiling walls. It sounds a bit steep to me just want to hear other mum's recent experience.

Not in London but north west. Kitchen fitter (who was on Howdens own recommended list) did the job for £1275 and that was for nineteen units, medium sized kitchen. Good job as well. Even if you double it for London, this sounds ridiculous particularly as Howdens kitchens come ready constructed. I've just noticed it includes tiling and flooring. We did our own flooring from B and Q which is much admired. It cost around £150 as it was in the sale as an unusual colour but which goes really well with the units. We didn't have much tiling, just industrial type cream ones which my dh did at minimal cost. Good luck
