Need a new front door, looking at composites from justdoor.co.uk

We had a carpenter install new doors in our flat. Hanging them is a somewhat tricky skill, I think.

Get a professional in. If you want a composite door for either security or energy efficiency then it would be a total waste to have it fitted badly.

I've just ordered from a local small windows/doors company. I checked their prices vs. online ordering and they were actually cheaper than the websites and the local chaps price includes fitting.

I know someone who is very very good at DIY and he fitted his own uPVC door. Took him hours and hours to do it and he's got a professional to do it when he's had other exterior doors fitted.

I'd expect the company that sold it to you to install it?! am i being unreasonable!

We got ours from Yale doors, they fitted it.

Ours came from a local window company and included fitting.

Glazier fitted ours - they were used to fitting doors and windows.

We ordered ours from a local fitter-who then fitted it Smile

We just bought one from a local double glazing company.
Any of the double glazing firms who advertise in your local free paper will be able to supply and fit a composite door.
It's pretty much the same process as UPVC (fitting-wise) so they will be experienced in doing it a lot.

Just realised - I probably misunderstood your question - are you going to source the door yourself? Have it delivered and then get a fitter to install?

I would say a double glazing firm could still do it - or you could ask them if they can supply and fit at a similar price to your online supplier plus whatever your independent fitter charges - private fitting will be a few hundred I would have thought - it will be a day's work at whatever rate they charge - especially if they don't regularly fit composite or upvc doors.
