Advice NEEDED for new floor

Hello,

We just purchased a wonderful house and it needs updating.

The skirting boards/doors/frames/every single piece of wood is black oak. Very dark and a little ominous BUT done to a very high standard so does look good.

We will be painting the skirting boards and door frames brilliant white but leaving the doors black. Do you think that will be ok?

Most importantly... what laminate flooring will suit black oak doors and not clash?

we want dark because we like dark but not too dark.

Any advice warmly welcomed!!!!!!!!

I like the homebase one, but what colour is the furniture that's going in the room?

I'd go for off white paint work even magnolia as black and white might be too stark a contrast? Depends what effect you're after

Black leather sofas and that's it really. Silver tv on the wall but that will be changing as soon as we can afford. There's a little black electric log burner type fireplace.

So... We went for it last night. We purchased the laminate above, took the carpet up and painted the skirting boards only. They look soo good next to the black and it really brightens the room up!

Still not sure the floor goes with the doors but can always paint the doors if we must
