Subsequent to an earlier thread of mine about moving to Diss (with so many helpful replies) - can anyone advise on secondary school options beyond Diss High School? Is travelling to Norwich for school there an option? Just want to be sure we are giving ourselves enough options re schools if we were to move there. DD will start sec school in a couple of years. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi, I no longer live in the area but yes you can access norwich schools via bus or train. I caught the bus to Norwich daily. Also Thomas Mills in Framlingham, Stowmarket, Stowupland, Wymondham College all outstanding or good.

Hi
Hartismere High School in Eye is a great school if you jump the border into Suffolk, all three of mine have gone there. My daughter went back to do her observations towards her Teach first and said how the school was even better than it was when she was there.
Norwich is an option or Ipswich, the train being much quicker so not spending too long travelling. There are buses that go there but obviously takes much longer and as you will also find when looking at options other than sixth form (which Hartismere provides) getting to college either at Norwich, Bury st Edmunds or Ipswich is not always straight forward.
