Stacking tumble dryer on washing machine

We've got a zanussi washer dryer which doesn't dry things so given in and ordered a Bosch tumble dryer

It says on currys website that it's stackable

Will I need some sort of shelf or can it just sit on top?

You can get a kit that goes between the 2. I don't have one but I've investigated. I think it's because washing machines vibrate more so it, sort of, ties them together.

Try espares.co.uk - they sell branded stacking kits and universal ones. The kits are a kind of double sided gasket that stops the tumble dryer falling off the washer when it spins.

My H just made a kind of mini table out of an old piece of worktop.

We bought a stacking kit from Amazon (sorry my phone is refusing to cut and paste links). It provides you with a pull out shelf so you can put your washing basket on it for loading and unloading the drier. It's great.

I had a proper cupboard built in with WM be,ow and TD above on its own plinth. It is a sturdy solution but obviously expensive. The tumble drier just sits in its own housing.

Mine sits on the washing machine.
I did buy a stacking kit once but I couldn't figure it out how it was supposed to work.

We have a stacking kit, but we are going to look at making a proper worktop for it to go on because if there's a problem with the washing machine it's a pita to have to take the TD off the WM before the engineer comes.

Works well though and we've had it like that for 15 years.
