Newly fitted shower: problems already

New shower fitted yesterday - concentric mixer shower. Trouble is, temperature can't be controlled. Nothing but a rush of scalding hot water.

Getting cold water elsewhere in the house. We're on a combi system.

I suspect a fitting problem rather than one connected to the water supply.

And that plumber didn't check upon completion. (I know, perhaps I should have - I only did when it was time for a shower in the evening.)

Have emailed plumber who said he'd come back Monday evening. Clearly, this doesn't constitute an emergency as such but part of me is wondering if he shouldn't make an effort to come back before then?

Hasn't invoiced yet -

Any thoughts? Thanks!

We had this problem years ago when the plumber fitted the hot and cold water pipes the wrong way round Hmm, It was quite easy to fix but we didn't use him again.

That was it exactly! From the time when the original shower was fitted, apparently. Since this new installation, additional problems - from scalding water to, now, only tepid!

Plumber is back again soon - fingers crossed!
