Mortgage offer

Sorry in advance because The answer may be obvious...
Just phone the company (occupation specific) who are "handling" the mortgage application that we have with natwest, I was told that second income check is back and that natwest are ready to offer, and this offer will be in the post.

Does this mean we now have a mortgage? It has taken longer to sort this mortgage out but not sure if this because we are living out of UK and that I have tax free status, we had to have our id and addresses verified by a solicitor here and despite having copies of our payslips and p60s they also asked permission to speak to inland revenues regarding our income.

Ea has emailed today to ask for an update and I don't want to say we have got something if I am getting the wrong end of the stick iyswim.

We are still waiting for two pieces of documentation from the vendors so I know we are not absolutely ready either way.

Any thoughts mnetters?

Just tell the agents what you have said here - the mortgage offer has been received verbally and you are just waiting for the formal offer to arrive by post. Solicitors normally need the actual document to continue the process so make sure you get t he document to tour solicitor asap once you have received it.

Doesn't sound like you need to flap just follow up on the mortgage offer if you haven't received it in a few days so it doesn't get stuck in to ecsystem anywhere and keep in touch with your solicitor to make sure all enquiries have been answered. Hope it all goes well.
