what's good for filling the gaps between floorboards

Nearly finished sorting out floorboards but need recommendations of something to fill the gaps - most of the floor will be covered by a mahoosive rug.

I've seen something called stopgap which looks good and quick - I really don't have the energy to make my own papier mache goo :o

Any recommendations?

Ours were done by the guys who sanded it. They used the stuff they sanded off, mixed with something I think.

I bought rubber stuff (like insulation tubing) on a roll that you push in with a tool. It is then completely invisible. It was easy and mess-free, which was a huge relief as I had been expecting to have to use goo too. I'll see if I can find it/ the name of it.

I think I know what you mean hatty - is it a grey colour?

Good to get some positive feedback about the stopgap stuff too - thanks iwant

Yes, greyish. I can't remember offhand where I bought it, though, and the roll seems to have been thoroughly disappeared tidied away by DH.
