Need new vacuum cleaner

My beloved Sebo 2100w air belt K1 broke this evening
With a bit of googling, it would appear that all vacuums are now only 1200w!! My hairdryer is more powerful than that!
So does anyone here have one of the new "Eco" models and do they actually suck up any dirt and dust or have the EU doomed us to a slightly grubbier existence?

Any advice on best vacuum/ brand would help. Last purchase was the Sebo but I can't find any good reviews of their new 1200w models which leads me to conclude they are no longer any good.
It's a bit urgent. As I will need to get one tomorrow to avoid the floors getting crunchy.

I bought a Miele C3 Cat and Dog recently- really good. Had the C2 for 8 years before that.

Suffolk. Did you buy the latest one after they downgraded all the vacuums to under 1200w?

Yes, it is 1200w. When its on the most powerful suction setting it lifts the carpet

I recently got a Miele c3 cat and dog. It's hands down the best vacuum I've ever had.

I also have the Miele cat and dog and think it is great. Only thing that annoys me about it is the amount of hoover bags i go through.
