Recommendation for built-ins in west London?

We would like to have some cupboards and bookshelves built on either side of the chimney breast in our living room. Is anyone in west London able to recommend a company/joiner that does this well? We'd also like (eventually) to have built-in wardrobes as well, so even better if they're able to do both. Thanks very much!

This guy did some beautiful work for me. Really nice finish and quality. Also love the design he did. Similar to this picture from his page (I'm not at home at moment so can't attach my pics)

Highly recommend his workmanship and when I move house would definitely use again for shelves and wardrobes and probably kitchen too.

My neighbours used this guy for built ins around their fireplace and it looks fantastic. I spoke to him about wardrobes in our loft conversion but he was a bit too expensive for me at the time.

Thank you; I will check both of these out!

dynevoran, would you mind terribly if I ask what your shelves cost, approximately? I've been looking at your builder's work and it's absolutely gorgeous...but so gorgeous I'm afraid it's probably out of my price range!

I paid about 1300 for both alcoves to have shelves and a small cupboard at bottom like that picture.

Avoid the London alcove company!

dynevoran, thanks so much - and that is within our budget! :D Have emailed him. And sparechange, thanks for the watch-out...helpful to know who to avoid!

dynevoran, just wanted to come back and thank you for recommending Zac - he came and did our built-ins, and they are LOVELY. So happy with them; have already asked for a quote for wardrobes!

I'm delighted you're so pleased. I have a long list of things I want him to do when I eventually move house again probably next year. Including making a dining table that links to the breakfast bar in my imaginary kitchen Grin
