Television brackets - help needed please

We have a small alcove in which we'd like to hang a 42" television. So as not to dominate the room, I'd like it to be on one of those extendable, turnable brackets so it doesn't dominate the room when not in use.

DH has been looking online, but I thought it might be faster asking for recommendations on here! Grin [hopeful]

I bought mine at John Lewis. They have many different types.

The key thing is buy a TV bracket fixing kit with it. You need very secure anchoring with the right bolts/screws suitable for your wall. Also before you start fixing think about cable management and where the plug is.

Its not so much the bracket you need to worry about (BUT DO CHECK it is suitable for the weight and size of TV) the more important issue is all the boring stuff going on behind the TV.

Thank you - will take a look at JL. Plug we are ok with, and will make sure to ask on the wall suitability (Edwardian house with original plaster, so am guessing we'll need to be certain the bits go into brick, rather than between the bricks?).
