I love trawling Rightmove. Nothing on the telly? Rightmove.

So, this house, all fine until picture 13. OK, a sauna, nice. But what is the picture on the wall? Why would you want that in a sauna? www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-48967801.html?premiumA=true

Yup, weird pic, especially given the naiceness of the rest of the house.

The decor in this one impressed me:

Damn they like their highly patterned wallpaper don't they!

I'm really worried that it's a mirror, not a picture.

nancy75 · 31/08/2015 22:51

Look at pic 4 on thefarside's link - is that the kitchen? My eyes don't understand it

Pipbin · 31/08/2015 22:55

I think it is the kitchen built in a lean to on the side return on the house.
I want to know how anyone watches the TV.
I also want to know who the hell still owns a back projection TV?

Oh god, the kitchen is

1.70 x 3.14
1.43 x 7.57

Shock

That is a very horrible house.

Heelsdown · 31/08/2015 22:58

I'm a bit concerned about pic 5 in TheFarSides link.

Not sure I'd want to sleep under that flimsy shelf. That looks like my kind of kitchen though, one you can't use.

nancy75 · 31/08/2015 23:00

the kitchen looks like there is more of it but you couldn't get in because the wall is 2 inches away from the cupboards

They also really really like fans - i wasn't aware walthamstow was so much hotter than the rest of the country

OK, 'normal' looking flat (for a zillion pound teeny tiny flat). But I'm confused by the floor plan. Now I've lived in a flat like this and I had a cellar under the street, but this seems to have a sink in it!

And the stains on the headboard in FarSides link!!

Behooven · 31/08/2015 23:04

How do you get into the kitchen? Does it slide along Grin

nancy75 · 31/08/2015 23:07

I don't think you go in the kitchen as such, i think you just lean in to it with your feet still in the other room

Out2pasture · 31/08/2015 23:08

Pipbin is that not the kitchen, the whole unit is sub ground level.

Out2pasture · 31/08/2015 23:09

OP I expect the creepy "eyes" picture is a reminder to not do anything well sexual....eyes are watching you??

Pipbin · 31/08/2015 23:13

Maybe Out, it is meant to be God watching you!

I know the whole flat is a basement flat.
In flats like that you usually have the steps down from the street into the yard front of the house, but often opposite the front door you have a cellar like storage space under the street. my sold flat had one, it was very useful.

Looks like the kind of picture you might buy at an Ashram in India or something, maybe they mediate in the sauna or something?

Gileswithachainsaw · 31/08/2015 23:19

Even the cushion has gone cross eyed at the decor Grin

WiIdfire · 31/08/2015 23:20

Im afraid I dont have a link as it's long gone, but Whenever I showed anyone the rightmove photos of our house-to-be, I had to apologise for the large poster of a very nude lady on one of the bedroom walls. Blush

Pipbin · 31/08/2015 23:21

See this flat has the vaults marked on the floor plan as just storage. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-51434947.html

picture 15 is that a bedroom in the crypt?

ReadtheSmallPrint · 01/09/2015 08:48

I love this place but the organ pipes on image 14 are strangely scary. Makes me think of an ossuary...

How funny, that walthamstow house keeps coming up in my alerts as we re looking round there. It's been on the market ages, can see why.
I really don't like the organ pipes, it's quite creepy.
