Waterproof durable clear varnish for Annie Sloan paint

I like using Annie Sloan pain but I hate the waxing part. It is such hard work!! I have painted my 6 kitchen chairs, they look amazing, now I need to wax them which fills me with dread. Is there a way to avoid this. I was thinking a clear varnish that is waterproof as the chairs will live in the kitchen, but I am not sure about specific products or brands. Some advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have been using Rustoleum chalk paint recently, and then varnished it with the small tins of sealer from the same range. Turned out really well, I preferred the matt to the satin, and available in B&Q. Fast and easy!

I also like the Rustoleum matt varnish. Much easier than waxing, and gives better protection.

Brilliant thank you both.

I use the ronseal clear Matt varnish, works well. Always mess up the waxing!
