Sliding doors for kitchen cupboards

We have to fit out our new utility and it is very tight indeed. What we need to put in is a kitchen unit to house a sink and water filter, but there isn't any room for cupboard doors to swing out (side of washing machine in the way). We've searched and cannot find any kitchen cupboard doors that slide behind one another! Help!

You can buy tracks for sliding doors and fit those to your cabinets then make your own from normal cabinet doors. A joiner can probably do this for you if you are not handy.

Must you have doors at all?

We've looked into the sliding door tracks but can't work out how to retrofit it into a normal cupboard without it looking crap and hacked together. TMITYM, considered putting a little curtain in front but it needs something as it'll have the underside of the sink there and a water softener in it. I just can't believe that there isn't any kitchen cupboard available with sliding doors!

Speak to a joiner - I am sure this can be done and will look fine. Hafele do sliding door tracks and their stuff is very good. Do bear in mind that sliding doors normally overlap so you will need doors that are wider than if they were hinged.
