Urgent help about getting a redemption figure!

Help! Should have exchanged today on house we are selling. Solicitor informs us near the end of the day that they do not have the correct redemption figure. I rang our mortgage company who told me it takes 7 days!!! 7days?!??
They said they might be able to do something quicker if sols ring, but she didn't sound very confident!!

Please tell me we can get one quicker than that! Preferably tomorrow!!!

Santander gave me a figure over the phone and then posted out the paperwork (that was just last month).

That makes me feel a bit better. Although this is NRAM though. They haven't been easy to deal with!!

If I was your solicitor I would get on the phone first thing tomorrow morning and stay on until I got a figure Anytime I have had to get an urgent figure I have always Not sure what you mean by an incorrect figuremanaged it it

I think it's out of date as it's taken longer than expected to get to this stage. I was just so frustrated to be told this today! Hopefully the sols will sort tomorrow.

It was a comedy of errors! NRAMs phone lines were down all morning! My husband and I both managed to persuade someone to fax one so they got it by close of business yesterday. Crossing everything for exchange today!!!

How did it go

Failed to exchange. They ran out of time. Gutted. Monday hopefully but am very cross!

There should be no reason why exchange can't happen on Monday. If everything's lined up it can be before 9.30am ime.

I really, really hope so! Meant to be signing for rental that morning. If we lose that I don't know what we'll do!
