Thinking about putting an offer in for a dark manky house...dark,.leaded windows, crazy paving, eighties fake dado wallpaper....this has got it all! Has anybody removed stone cladding? It's only on the front of the house

Sounds like a dream. Any photos? The only think with cladding is whether it is intrinsic to the design of the house and will need replacing with something else or whether removing it damages the brick work underneath. I guess worst case scenario would be having to render the brick work.

Thing, not think!

I had a friend that did this - it had been cemented on and removing it damaged the brickwork which meant they had to render over it. It did look a million times better than the cladding but ended up being much more of a job than they had anticipated.

Ok thanks.....it's just on the front....the back is just white, and consequently far nicer!!
