Flat pack wardrobes like Jali but cheaper?

We only really have an Ikea type budget for wardrobes but none of the places we could put wardrobes in our bedroom fit standard Ikea sizes.

There's no way we can afford custom-built wardrobes and we're happy to self assemble and paint carcasses and doors if necessary to keep costs down but even Jali is too expensive. Are there are any alternatives out there?

I'm afraid I don't know anyone cheaper than Jali that offers the same service so watching with interest. Of course, a local chippy can knock you up some cupboards out of MDF and leave them primed for you to paint, might be worth gettting a quote?

With Jali etc, you might be able to save money for going for the cheapest, least embellished options, then build them in yourself using moulding etc from Wickes to trim?
