Santon premier plus hot water system -help!!

Recently moved into a rented house with this boiler upstairs but it never stops running! Even if we turn it off on the mains switch beside it ! Is it normal to run all the time?

Is it a round, white hot water cylinder? Or is it square? Or some other colour? A photo might help.

Is there a gas boiler in the house, or is the hot water heated electrically?

Can you see a timer?

Do you mean water is running, or a pump?
