How would you temporarily cover the side return?

I would like to have some way of covering the side return to my house. In the winter I'd like a waterproof covering so that I can dry laundry outside, and ideally in summer I'd like to be able to change this to a lighter, floaty fabric for shade and prettiness.

The floor is concrete, the space is about 2.5m x 3m. The third 'wall' is a rickety fence that is now 90% ivy and 10% timber.

My options, I think, are,
A large parasol.
A canopy attached the wall that can be wound out.
Hooks and screws in to the house masonry, with a fourth corner requiring a new post.
A pergola with fabric going on top.

My preference is for the most complicated, expensive option the pergola.

Any thoughts?

A wooden pergola would probably be the best option with holes in the top to bolt down corrugated plastic. If you use tarpaulin or some other fabric it may break in the wind. Bolt plastic down in the winter and then store in shed in the summer. Then put nothing or a sail up in the summer.

Thanks for the tip Heyho. I'm wondering if I should buy a kit (can't find one that fits my needs though) or build from scratch and whether to do it myself or pay an expert.

look at carport kits.
