Fresh paint smell v scuffed walls

We have 4 viewings tomorrow, our house has only just gone on the market. I wasn't expecting to get as much CH sent interest so quickly and was planning to paint the landings tonight as they look s bit tired . I am meeting re than happy to crack on ( not procrastinating) but not sure whether viewers would be just en on fresh paint smell. What would put you off more?

New paint smell makes me cough & wheeze so would put me off a lot.

Magic erasers (I've used the flash ones but I expect other brands are available) will get the scuffs off if you can get hold of some.

I love fresh paint smell!

Not all paints smells stong, IME the better the pain the less it smells.
I painted my kitchen ceiling with behr paint and you could hardly smell it half an hour later. A friend used CIL and the smell was opressing.

too late now, but at this time of year you will have your windows open. Not only will that dry out the paint quickly, it will take away most of the smell.

Emulsion and other water paints don't usually have a very strong smell for long.

As you probably guessed from my lack thereof f response last night I went with the painting option! You were right, it didn't smell! One viewing down 3 to go!!

fresh paint for a viewing would make me thing 'what are they covering up?'

next time chop an onion in half it absorbs the smell

probably OK - we put our house on the market 6 years ago and were still in the process of having in 'tarted up' and viewings were going on around the decorator!!! Didn't do us any harm as we got two offers within days - it also helped create an excuse for some things not being very tidy as we could blame it on the work taking place!!!! Good luck.
