We accepted an offer on our house two weeks ago, we didn't accept their first offer but did when they upped to FAP. Meanwhile we've had an offer accepted on our new home, which is empty so chain free. Our buyers are FTB in rental accommodation. Now we've instructed a solicitor and started completing our mortgage application online having already had a DIP and forwarded it to our vendors EA.
From our buyers we've had nothing in writing and no solicitors details either. Turns out they were seeing an IFA on sat and the IFA is also arranging a solicitor. Our EA are a pile of poop, they are rubbish at chasing things despite several phone calls from me.
I want to sort a survey and such but am obviously not about to spend money on just the 'word' of the buyer.
What could be going on? Is it just FTB naivety and using an IFA dragging things out? So irritating!
