Composite doors

I am planning to get a new front door fitted and want a composite front door with all of the bells and whistles security-wise.

I've got about £1000 in my head as a reasonable budget for both the door and the fitting - does that sound about right?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations? I've got someone coming round next week who fits endurance doors, and I'm also planning to get a quote from Solidor. Is there anyone else I should be thinking about?

I paid £1150 for mine and that included the glass at the top. Also three Yale laser cut keys. It looks stunning. I've moved since but it made such a difference to the front of the house!

I paid £1500 in London about 3 years ago. I love it, it looks good and blocks out noise well (we are end of terrace and our front door faces neighbours door about 3 metres away).

We used Albion.

Price wise I'd say you are about right. We had one fitted about 3 years ago. Looks good and is secure.

Thanks, I'll look into Albion as well. Glad to know I'm not too far off the mark on price too!

I have a Rockdoor. It's Fab! Feels really secure, looks great. It cost approx £1100.

Try ig doors or birtley doors, trade uses those and they come in loads of styles and come on secure by design. Doors cost around the £400 mark, you can get a half decent carpenter to fit, we just fitted ours ourself as the come as a frame and door, so just popped the old PVC door and frame out and popped the new frame and door in.
