Sorry - boring question about bathroom ventilation

New flat is on middle floor with properties adjoining either side. Bathroom has no window. Has anyone been in this situation and is there anyway to install a fan or some sort of ventilation? I've looked online but everything seems to say go to an outside wall. The bathroom is in the middle of the flat so this doesn't seem possible.

Building regulations have required ventilation to outside for a long time.

Does it have false ceilings?

It's a Victorian building converted in early 80s. There is a lowered ceiling in the bathroom but heard that if you used that for ventilation it could cause damp problems.

In E&W I am sure ventilation has been a requirement since before the 1980's. Have you bought it, and if so, did the solicitor make enquiries about Building Regulations and Planning Permission?

If the kitchen is adjacent, it is possible to run duct on top of or inside the wall units, or even in the angle between ceiling and wall. I presume other occupants in the building have had similar problems. Walk round the outside looking for grilles or flaps in the wall where extractor fans might vent, to get an idea of what they have done.

An unventilated bathroom will get condensation, damp, mould and rot.

Look up Envirovent, they are brill at installing fans in weird places.

Thanks for the help - exchanging Friday so will speak to solicitor tmrw. Nothing's been mentioned until now about it. I naively assumed it would be an easy fix. Will look at the ventilation website aswell.
