Bathroom extractor fan has fallen off ceiling and refuses to be refixed! Any ideas, please?

So the extractor is dangling from the plasterboard ceiling. No more nails didn't work, sticky tabs didn't work and tap in plasterboard fixings didn't work either. I would be grateful for any suggestions, thanks.

Have you got access above?

Was it formerly held on by screws into the ceiling? What happened to their holes?

Is it a plasterboard ceiling?

Is there a flexible or rigid duct in the ceiling?

So sorry I didn't respond, it has been a very busy few days! DH has fixed it now but thank you for your reply.
