Shower advice needed

We want to install a shower in our ensuite, and it seems to be less straight forward than I was hoping. It is a 1930s house, and we have chosen a traditional style suite and taps. The shower will be over the bath, and DH doesnt want a plastic box on the wall.
From what the plumber has said, we will be running a hot feed from the tank in the airing cupboard, and a cold feed from tank in attic, so will need a pump. He suggested a mira event thermostatic shower, but this is a bit plastic looking.
DH would like an exposed valve type shower, but these would need an extra pump and a different plumbing arrangement which sounds a lot more expensive.
Any advice or suggestions welcome, thanks

We're redoing our bathroom and putting in a new shower. We had to improve the pressure but didn't want to put in a big pump so got this

My parents got one for their shower too and it's made a huge difference. It took about 15 minutes to fit and is quiet etc.

Have a look...it might work for you

Thanks, that looks interesting. Will see what the plumber makes of it.
