step ladder for kitchen

Can anyone recommend a good (not too industrial looking) step ladder for a kitchen? I'm just having a new kitchen installed and will a lot of cupboards I can't reach without a stepladder.

This one is designed to be stored in the plinth void when not in use ? Would it be tall enough ?

Would a step stool (kick step) be any use, like this one?

I have a cheapo Lidl version and it's very light and easy to kick around, plus you can sit on it. I have foldaway steps in my kitchen base board very like the ones mentioned by OnePlanOnHouzz but I couldn't recommend them - I have used them about twice in 20+ years and I find the step stool much easier to use.
