Help! My dishwasher blew up!

Just that really. Made a strange noise, slight waft of smoke, alarming burning smell. Tripped the fuse.

2 questions:

1. Is it worth calling a repair man?
2. It's full of dirty water - how do I empty it?!

Not sure how you empty it, but when my washing machine died I had a repair man from the Euronics chain -

They charged a call out fee, but if the machine was not worth repair they deducted the call out fee from the price of a new one you bought from them.
