Pedestal multi burner stove

I'm looking for a stove for a refurbishment I'm carrying out.

For aesthetic purposes the stove I'm looking for is a pedestal type one. For practical purposes a multi burner. I've just come to realise, however, that there are few, if any, multi fuel pedestal type stoves on the market; certainly within my budget range max £1500 + installation etc.

Is there a reason for this, or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Some retailers will tell you that if there is a grate and ash pan in the stove it will burn smokeless fuel, it's just that it hasn't been tested - some retailers will tell you anything

I've got a Charnwood Cove, it's fantastic. Burns smokeless fuel. Easy to light, gives out good heat. Quality build and looks nice.

I think it was a bit over 1k.

Morso do one for around £1400. I was persuaded by MN to buy a Morso one and I'm so glad it did. The heat it gives off is incredible, provided we use coal and wood (much less just in wood).

Morso 7448 is a pedestal stove. We're getting one soon.

The one we have already is the Panther - a different style for a bigger room.

When choosing we asked around and got a recommended fitter to come and look at the room and suggest which stove would work best, and we also visited a few showrooms and took advice there. Some showrooms are much better than others. One just did a hard sell on little-known brands, another one was run by someone genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about stoves and they gave much better advice, I think.

In our case the installation was a lot more expensive than the stove itself.

Most of the big brands have very good websites with the technical specifications of each different stove.
