..units are cream, top is oak, the 'pewters' I've looked at are almost black. 'Satin Nickel' looks very tacky, any ideas/inspiration? Driving myself mad over this....

We have off white china ones, in a similar kitchen. Like them v much except that if one unscrews and falls off because nobody gets round to tightening the screw in time it breaks.

Thanks Alice, don't think that will work for us, despite how lovely they sound. Keen on the metal/iron/nickel/ bla bla to break things up. Arrgggghh

We've had Finesse pewter handles/knobs in our last two kitchens and plan to have them here in our new house. They are solid pewter and not cheap but quite 'silvery' as opposed to black....huge range too!

Have you tried a local blacksmith/metal worker? We have one near us who makes beautiful one off designs for a pittance! If you can find one, they'll at least let you know if what you want is possible to get.

Nothing on this page?

www.yewtreedesigns.co.uk. Went to this kitchen company when we were doing up our kitchen - they had beautiful handles in their showroom. They said they get them from Trade Handles: www.tradehandles.co.uk
