I'm confused as to whether this is a built in or built under oven

I need a built under oven, to go under the gas hob. I've finally found one that I like. Some websites refer to the model as built in/built under. Neff themselves call it built in. Can the same oven be either/or? If I bought it would I need some sort of housing to fit it in?

A built under oven (under worktop) will typically be 72cm in height and a built in oven (eye level) will normally be 88cm. A built under oven won't need anything to house it in - it'll sit on the floor and the plinth will attach to its legs.

My built-under is Neff & has a housing.

I think the size is key for built-under

Just measured mine - single oven, 59-60cm high, but the housing includes a shallow drawer for baking trays. The housing itself seems to be about 72cm

Your link looks to be the same size as mine (but much cleverer Grin) so it will def go under

Thank you. I think I've fallen in love with it a little bit. Didn't realise it was size that was the key and have measured up and it's the same size as my current one which is in a housing unit so looking good.

Just need to work on Dh now. Grin

I have 'Pyrolysis' envy Grin Mine has a cleaning programme where you put some soapy water on the floor & it heats it up & soapy steam goes everywhere but I still have to scrub (or get ovenu in instead)

Mine only has fan oven/grill settings too. Yours has dozens! Wow! Tell your DH I said you have to have it!

It is a thing of beauty isn't it. I think it has far more programmes than Id ever use. But it looks nice and has a fold away door and is self cleaning! Which was pretty much every box ticked.

Current oven is 12 years old if not older and is becoming increasingly uneven at cooking, though Dh denies there's a problem.
