After seventeen years of living in the Midlands, I have decided to move back 'down south' in order to be closer to my parents. I have secured a job at a school in Walthamstow and was considering moving to Chingford. Having been brought up in Leyton, Chingford was always seen as a desirable area but a friend of mine suggested that this is no longer the case.
I would welcome views from people familiar with the area, e.g. which parts (if any) to avoid.
