Has anyone used the IKEA bay window pole kit thingybob?

Does it work?

It's not a curved bay, it's angled.

Can't at present afford £200-£300 to get one fitted.

Or has anyone else used a good cheap DIY?

Yes. Is great, but be wary of your curtains being too heavy. Ours bent down at the angles with time. (Had 3.26m long curtains.)

Yes it's fine, we had ours for about 10yrs until we could afford proper posh John Lewis ones! I agree that you need to be mindful of the weight of the curtains though

That's cheered me up no end, I'm moving and that window keeps knackering my budget. That kit means we can get a sofa bed and MiL and Fil can visit.
