polished concrete floors

Having a wet room installed and wondered about having a polished concrete floor instead of tiles.

Does anyone have any experience of this type of floor, is it practical, expensive?

Interested in this myself, considering it for an extension. Apparently it's great with underfloor heating.

Though I think any spills are to be mopped up immediately so im not sure about wet room use? Hopefully

same here i was thinking about it for my kitchen, no grout lines, saw the colour I like on pinterest and fell in love, but I think my floors are not strong enough to hold it, and I think its going to work out pretty pricey.

I'm going to speak to the builder who's doing building work.
