Dangerous lightbulb advice...

If I have a shade saying 'Maximum 60 Watts", can I put in a energy-saving bulb that is 20 Watts ('equivalent' to a 90 Watt bulb)?

Will it be safe (i.e. as cool or cooler than a 60W normal bulb) or will it heat up and make my papershade and thus entire house catch fire?

completely fine, you used to burn yourself (quite seriously) on old fashioned 100w bulbs, they are now just a bit "ooh ooh ooh" rather than "RUN THE COLD TAP"

Thank you! Makes perfect sense. Was being paranoid.
