And ours doesn't go on the market until tomorrow.

I'm sure it'll be someone else's perfect house too, and they'll offer before we get a chance to.

I know there's nothing we can do, except market ours as well as possible.

Any stories of hope? Thanks for indulging me!

September 1st we look at house which ticks all our boxes. we get ours on the market pronto and it 'sells' 10 days later to first time buyers. We offer 5 grand under asking and are accepted. Two weeks later Northern Rock happens and whilst our mortgage etc is still fine, our buyers get cold feet and pull out. So dream house off. It 'sells' again a few weeks later then comes back on the market then 'sells' again just before Christmas. Meanwhile we have a few nibbles but no sale. Beginning of March a man comes to view - cash buyer - and I have a good feeling after the viewing so I go on Rightmove for the first time in weeks and what's back on the market that day? The house. he offers 7 grand under asking for ours, I offer 10 grand under asking for dream house Wink and 7 weeks later we move in. So 7 weeks or 8 moths depending on how you look at it. The house waited for us. it's meant to be , it will be.

We found ideal house. Put ours on market, sold 2 weeks later, offered on ideal house was accepted.
Our buyer took 5 weeks to even apply for his mortgage, in the meantime, sneaky bitch at ideal house was doing a deal with another buyer. She only told us and her agent when we ready to take the final step.
Mad look round and another (better area) cheaper house came up.
Not got it yet, survey on ours done Friday and we hope not to be too far behind with what we're buying.

Good luck!
I have had sleepless nights and plan never to move again Confused

I saw our dream house a year before we could afford it. Amazingly after 12 months it was still on the market, £20K below valuation.
We sold our houes in 7 days, put in an offer on the dream house and moved in 12 weeks after ours sold.

It can be done.

I am loving our new home.

We found our 'dream' house, popped ours on the market two weeks later and sold after 6 months, our dream home was then being rented out from the week before we sold as the seller had changed their mind. We didn't get that house (we did try further) but then three weeks before our completion date the most amazing house came up round the corner, we stepped in the porch and immediately knew it was our family home! We offered 5k below and got it. On reflection that house was lovely and we would have been happy there, but this one was meant for us, south facing backgarden (the other back is in the shade constantly), amazing neighbours, lots of friends and things we can't imagine not having due to living here in this beautiful home.

Your home whether that one or one you've not seen will be waiting for you so whatever happens just ride with the excitement x
