Victoria Plumb baths

I need advice and recommendations please.

I am doing a big renovation project in France and the price of baths and toilets is exorbitant. I was thinking of buying what I need from Victoria Plumb and bringing it over. The trouble is, I've never used this company and I don't know what the quality is like.

Has anybody had any issues with the quality of baths and/or toilets please? If this company is not what you'd recommend, then who would you recommend that has similar prices (if possible).

All advice gratefully received. Thanks.

We used Victoria Plum when we did our bathroom. An L shaped bath, shower screen, sink, loo, taps and waste pipes etc. We're really pleased with it all. Good price, quality and service. I'd recommend them.

Longevity wise, they are crap. Built to a cheap price point with cheap components. Fine for a facelift job or a holiday home but if I was doing up a longer term home I would spend a bit more on quality.

Plumbers in the past have given me same advice, stick to trusted brands with good 'innards'. We were told this when one of our loos started leaking because the mechanism inside had completely failed due to cheap parts. The loo in question was around 7 years old (parts of house were done up for sale on a budget when we bought it).

Thank you both very much for your input and advice. 50-50.... hmmmm.

Maybe I should spend the extra and get something really good quality for our en-suite bathroom and get something less wonderful for the cottage bathroom.
