If you have cream kitchen units/fronts..?

Then what colour are your worktops, floor and walls?

The kitchen in the house we are buying is cream off the peg doors and because it's fairly new I don't really want the expense of replanting the whole kitchen.

It does need repainted though and retiled and I'd like to replace the current faux wood worktop and floor but I'm struggling a bit for ideas despite having pinned about a million looks on Pinterest!

Thank you :-)

In the last house I had wooden work tops, wood flooring and cream walls. I liked it - had to put in a few bold accessories to stop it being too bland, but it was light, bright and calm.

I'm about to put a new kitchen in the current house and fancy the same colour scheme, but perhaps with a black quartz or granite work top.

I have cream doors and metro tiled splashback, black granite surfaces, oak floor and duck-egg walls (Laura Ashley Duck Egg light, to be precise). I think it looks good, even if most of MN think that cream and duck egg are passé Grin it's a dark room so we wanted to brighten it as much as possible.

my mum does

they have black granite worktops - white walls and a grey matt lino laminate floor which is much nicer than it sounds

We have butchers block beech worktop and reddish farmhousy tiles on the floor.
walls painted cream although I think sagey green would go nicely too.

CotedePablo · 11/05/2015 15:32

Ours is cream doors with beech carcasses, and black glittery worktop. Not painted walls yet as fitting is just finished and still trying to decide on a colour. Floor is a vinyl that looks like teeny wee strips of wood and toned with the carcasses.

black brown worktops, french grey walls, grey glass splashbacks, dark wood effect (Karndean) floors. Looks nice

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 11/05/2015 17:09

Walnut solid wood worktops, karndean flooring in as close to matching coloured wood effect as I could find, no tiles just a wood upstand, black glass splashback behind the hob, the walls are a soft sage/greige colour. It looks lovely.

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 11/05/2015 17:09

haha crazyhead sounds like we have almost the same kitchen!

Thistledew · 11/05/2015 17:11

I am planning a new kitchen- I will have a dark reddish-brown polished concrete floor, cream doors on the units, dark brown/walnut wooden work tops and either a soft sage green or cream walls. I'm having a photograph I took printed onto glass to act as a splash back.

honeysucklejasmine · 11/05/2015 17:11

Dark oak work surfaces. Cream doors. Floor is a cream tile in a darker shade than the doors. No wall tiles.

Marmitelover55 · 11/05/2015 19:52

We have vanilla coloured units rather than cream and have ivory fantasy granite, a light oak engineered floor, dulux Timeless on the walls and a very bright aqua splash back and similar coloured bar stools. I am biased but think it looks lovely!

Millymollymama · 11/05/2015 23:23

I have oak worktops in a flat. I really dislike them. They stain very easily. Check out the lighter coloured granites or Silestone. Oak on the floor is great or look for pale ceramic large format tile such as the ones at Porcelanosa. I would look at kitchen manufacturers for ideas too, or Houzz.

piggychops · 11/05/2015 23:28

Dark gray granite work tops, wooden floors and pale green walls (Celtic forest 6 from Dulux)

Behooven · 11/05/2015 23:38

Oak and glass doors, blue pearls granite worktop and splashbacks and stainless steel bits and bobs.

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 12/05/2015 07:17

We've got the same kitchen as Lbocs! cream units, oak floor, black granite worktop amd walla painted in Laura Ashey Duck Egg Blue. It looks great (I think).

We don't have any wall tiles because I don't like them. I was a bit worried about the black granite (dh's choice not mine) but actually it works brilliantly, and now I love it. Loads of people comment on the granite worktop.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 12/05/2015 07:20

We've got glossy cream cupboards on the top, with wooden worktops and glossy dark purple cupboards underneath. It's the kitchen we inherited with the house. I like it, although glossy cupboards (it turns out) are a bitch to keep looking shiny and show every mark, and every smear of cleaning stuff.

IfMaybeBut · 12/05/2015 07:20

Black granite with amber flecks work tops, oak effect flooring, stainless steel behind hob, chocolate milkshake on walls

limesoda · 12/05/2015 09:34

We had these in our last house and had solid walnut worktops, cream metro tiles and grey slate effect tiles. The walls were very, very pale pink.
