A week or so- though I'm purchasing a new build. My buyer met with her solicitor after 10-14 days to review the searches on our place (it's about ten years old and no problems arising on searches). You having problems?

crikeybadger · 10/05/2015 21:22

In Dorset, the average length of time is 50 working days.

specialsubject · 10/05/2015 21:36

the only thing that is relevant is the local council, and how long they take. ring the council and ask.

hope you aren't in Dorset!

RandomHouseRules · 10/05/2015 21:55

Not Dorset. Thank goodness. Also not a new build. Not started yet but hoping to complete within a few weeks and not so if that is realistic. May call council, thanks.

4 weeks?

GaryBaldy · 10/05/2015 22:11

Northants - 3 weeks

CrystalSkull · 10/05/2015 22:19

South Bucks - about 2 weeks.

Imperialleather2 · 10/05/2015 22:35

Your solicitor should've able to do them online and they take days not weeks

norksinmywaistband · 11/05/2015 16:57

Searches on the property I am buying took 2 weeks.
The authority I am in are currrently taking over 5 weeks - so my sale is being delayed by that.
