How to protect sofa/bed etc during build?

We need to leave a sofa and a double bed and mattress in our house while it is being renovated. We are moving out but can't take these items with us. I am thinking we will need to wrap them in sturdy plastic sheeting but I don't know what I am looking for or what it would be called. I only seem to be able to find flimsy ripable dust sheets. What did you use? What should I google? Any help much appreciated.

Heavy duty polythene sheeting?

You cam buy plastic sofa covers on ebay. About £5 for one.

If you want to go a little heavier, try something like either Visqueen or try a camping ground sheet from a camping shop such as towsure - lots of different sizes available

Yes I bought camping tarpaulins over the top of Hessian dust sheets. Did the trick very well!
