porting a mortgage with Natwest, should it take this long or is it a bad sign?

We are currently porting the same value with Natwest, it is being seen as a new application I believe due to new lending rules.
The application was sent off 2 weeks today and we still haven't heard anything. Has anyone had any experience of this recently?
