Shower or Storage

I currently have an L shaped bathroom, decent size, and I'm considering knocking through into a cupboard to gain more space to add a separate shower.

My husband and I don't have a bath often but don't want to swap it for a shower as it'd be useful to have (thinking for children and if we ever decided to sell).

We were quite set on losing the cupboard (only storage space upstairs) but now I think having a large cupboard would be better for laundry baskets, storing towels, duvet covers etc. If we lose the cupboard I'd need to purchase some sort of linen closest for these things.

Sorry, I realise this is quite boring but does anyone have any thoughts and if you don't have upstairs storage where do you keep towels, washing baskets etc.

Shower.
All bedding in that person's room and towels stored high up in bathroom.
Definitely a separate shower!

Thanks, keeping the cupboard is also the easier option so was leaning towards that!

Shower would add more value in the long run and probably give you the better quality of life while you live there. As suggested above under bed storage of each rooms bed linens and towels can be easier.
