Underlay - have I been ripped off?

Have 3 rooms to carpet & u/lay. Appreciated I needed to buy carpet rounded up to the 4m width of the roll & so this increased the sq ms I had to purchase. However, I've just looked at the invoice properly & they've sold me the same sq ms of u/lay as carpet. Is that usual?
Surely as u/l doesn't come in 4m widths I should just have got the sq m of the rooms?
Can't work out if I've been had. Gutted if so as trying to do this as economically as poss to help my mum who can't afford it.

Alter the order? Underlay will come in narrower widths (e.g. 1.3m) so you're right that you don't need as much as your carpet (or are unlikely to)
